UX is a critical success factor for all software. Software products that are well-engineered but have a poor UX will fail in the marketplace of ideas. A great book to read is “Why Software Sucks…and What You Can Do About It” by David Platt. It’s fairly dated now, but the concepts are the same

Being agile and iterative helps in making the best user experience decisions as per my experience as we never know in the first cut how a particular thing would be adopted by the user. ?? At Gojek, we run experiments and gain user feedback and based on the feedback and the conversation rates, decides whether to scale ??the experiment or not. User interviews are important for subjective things where data alone cant give you an answer and thats often the case for pure UI/UX decisions. ??
