Las especificaciones técnicas son muy importantes a la hora de adquirir calidad. Las mismas deben definirse en profundidad para poder adquirir el producto/servicio adecuado. Más alla de eso, debe evaluarse cumplimiento anterior del proveedor, como ser plazo entrega, respuesta, criterio, opinión de sectores de la empresa, a fin de verificar y convalidar al mismo como proveedor certificado. Pero además, debe ponderarse el precio ofertado para poder seleccionar al proveedor más conveniente. De esta manera, se reduce el riesgo de provisión y riesgo económico. Las formas de pago también deberán evaluarse como factor financiero decisivo.

Compatibility to be considered in 3 different categories, hardware, software and people. The vendor selected should have the expertise for the type of application, when I mention application the desired and intended outcome, for that both hardware and software with the communication protocol should be compatible. This needs to be identified during the design phase and also system integration workshops to be enabled before finalising. This is very much challenging at the last phase of the project and create considerable delays.
