Do not be afraid to be the idiot in the room. These are the tricks to be lucky. Luck doesn't come to you on one Sunday evening. Be at the right place and the right time so that you capture the luck. You need just 1 or 2 experts to give you the right opportunity, but to find that person you might have to network with 100 experts.

I once went to for an international conference, which I had never done before. It costs me a lot of money, time and effort. I was outside my comfort zone 100%. Once I reached there I had language barrier, but decided to strike up a conversation with anyone I could find. After 3 days I met a man who was from a different continent. I was young, he was experienced, I was a doctor, he was not. But during the conversation, we were able to find 1 mutual friend through some coincidence. That led to a long chat and he has helped me network and grow. Take the leap and be the idiot.
