Whenever I have the pleasure to speak on stage I commit to making it an experience. I want my audiences to FEEL something. When possible I have videos, audio (music), exercises and movement. I find that this creative way not only gets the audience interacting but also keeps them engaged and on the edge of their seat waiting for what’s going to happen next. We must remember all the learning styles in the room and the use of visuals supports the emotional side while research and data supports the logic side. It's like a band putting together their setlist. Most of the songs put on the setlist will be received well by the audience because they've worked well before. Start and finish with what has worked well before. One or two songs may be brand-new creations that differ from the others. They may not work as well as we hoped but they won't wreck our overall performance. Be creative and confident.
