First thing is to accept what happened and start all over again. It is normal for human to have short comings and make mistakes. Secondly, is to address all the factors which contributed to the failure and start on the new leaf. We can only learn from our past experiences and move on. Acknowledging failure is one of the hardest things to do. In a manner of character, very few people can recognize failure. These people are often the cream of the crop and will take the position of leaders. Usually, failure comes our way, however, we don't acknowledge it as our pride takes place, and look at the failure as a weakness. But only through weakness, that we can understand how to be strong. Nothing is permanent. I would say failure is a step stone for success, when you learn from failure. Asking feedback will help to know the reason for failure and can help to build plan to get success in the future. It is also important to identify whether it is knowledge gap, plan execution failure, any mistake you have done during learning process etc., it will help you not to repeat same mistake.

Do you hate to be corrected? This is a human response. Very few will accept correction even if it seems they were right on the get-go. Seeking feedback was one way to understand if one action was effective and had an impact. Most of the feedback was constructive in a sense, however, we always look at it as a criticism. If you view the standpoint of a successful company, most of the time they receive criticism, yet they still rise to the expectation of everyone. These companies convert their criticism as strong feedback to build the identity of their company in their current market. Humility is the key to seeking feedback. Humility is not equal to disgrace - this is where we fail to see the ability of this character.

Goals were the foundation of where we want to be. It also encompasses how we will achieve it. When we face failures, or we fail drastically, there is no one to blame, it is part of the journey that we have set. The failure was we didn't define clearly our set goals. We jump to the conclusion that we are affected by outside factors - but these were given factors to begin with. To bounce back, we have to understand, what part of our goals we have missed or failed to achieve. We need to restructure our goals to define our expectations, and how we will progress to achieve them. Create a matrix of your goals, and divide it into Time Frame, and Achievable Frame. Sometimes, the goals we set were unachievable, thus we set ourselves to fail.
