I have lately read from several sources that an outgoing open open-minded character is a superpower of the future. This is closely related to active listening. To me, this is a surprise - isn't it just normal good behavior? To make a deal or get your project through the process, you need to build trust. Trust is built through discussions where you make the other parties valued and respected by listening, actively. When people trust each other, the outcome of the collaboration is likely to be good - and even if would be a failure, everyone still feels good while working together. This will be remembered!

En las conversaciones de programas de Mentoring con Mentees asignados me gustaba hablar mucho en cada tema a tratar, fue al cabo de algunos procesos que me di cuenta que la mejor comunicación es la de la escucha activa, es la de estar abierto y atento a lo que nos tienen que decir, y no solo hablo de la comunicación verbal, también de la corporal que al fin y al cabo es la que mas informa de la otra parte. Escuchar es decir a la otra parte que le interesas, que le prestas atención, es leer su lenguaje corporal y por tanto saber realmente cómo se siente, aquí una clave para construir empatia, la llave para una comunicación franca y sincera. One should be ready with some open ended questions for such situation wherein the conversation can be pulled out. We should also avoid preparing yes/no questions since they straight away take the conversation to end. Also, avoid being "I know it all" and show the other person how beneficial the conversation was for you. Keep it authentic and genuine.
