If you enter discussion seeking conflict you will surely find it. On the other hand, if your contribution brings synthesis to the existing ideas you're likely to not only make progress, but also claim the credit for moving the team closer to their goal.

I think growing autonomy is one of the number one things a educational leader should do. When you explain to people you have their back and you're there for them but I believe you can do the work by yourself. Some people find this strange or normal depending on their previous employment experiences, so seeing how people are reacting to growing their autonomy is how you manage/teach it. If someone is anxious and always asking for feedback, tell them hey you always have great ideas I believe whatever you end up deciding is the right decision.
