This is good advice, however I would favour professionalism over networking per say. The film industry in particular is full of people with loud voices and big aspirations. However, the pioneers of the industry will often favour and recognize hard workers who do the job efficiently and discretely, rather than people who just are everywhere and chat everyone. I personally will be more inclined to favour a quiet hard worker over a loud person that sent a Linkedin request directly after the project. That being said, an introduction and keeping in touch can indeed go a long way.
