You can test those things you’ve always wanted to try - the new framework, the other language etc etc. Often the hardest part isn’t starting but finishing. A lack of motivation or drive to get something done or the pressure of it being perfect can hold you back. Start small, deliver regularly and bring some people into help keep you accountable.

You must find your own sources, watching/listening them every now and then may keep you inform of current trends. I listed some examples, not necessarily the best, the point is that you can find the sources that match your interest.

Experience, For the advanced level of your career , just labs and studying will not be enough , you shall have much experience.
