I would suggest a personalized new leader integration program, at least for the first 90-120 days, complemented by a formal onboarding process. The integration program provides structure, clarity, and leadership coaching support during their transition. We would define their learning agenda to strengthen their understanding of the culture and norms, build relationships with their team and peers, and gather information to define their goals and vision. They would also focus on developing an effective working relationship with their manager - understanding their decision-making style and seeking their buy-in on the strategy. We would also prioritize self-care and mindfulness practices to manage stress.

??♂???♀??? The least thing this executive needs now is advice like “Clean up your calendar”... It’s important to allow them first to accept the situation: —> There is too much on my plate —> I have issues prioritizing this because —> I think about this situation … —> I think about me … Once an executive has “arrived” in the situation and brought up some data points. Then the solutions are obvious for them, but as well the inner accepting that this needs to be done, is given. Most executives are very aware that an empty calendar is better than an overbooked one. They don’t need advice but a sparring partner to take a step back, see their patterns, understand them and make a decision towards a different approach. ??

I would provide a listening space to understand where the stress is coming from and from there I'd support them to: - Focus on what they can control and what they can influence looking at the "big rocks" in their diaries first - Consider how they can get support around areas where they are finding it most challenging : it may mean delegation or changing the work structure - Help them to identify ways they can reduce stress And provide an ongoing listening space : I might also look at securing a coach for them so they have additional support.

In my experience to empower a stressed new executive: 1. Recognize that imposter syndrome is natural and even necessary for growth. 2. Avoid quick tips. Instead, share your own experiences and vulnerabilities from when you were in their position. 3. Reassure them that it's okay and happens to everyone, including you. 4. Let them know it's a common experience, which often provides enough relief. 5. Trust that they'll figure things out once they release mental bandwidth from excessive self-monitoring. Key is to normalize their experience, show empathy, and give them space to grow into the role naturally.

a) I would advise the executive to ???????? ?????????????? ???? ?????????? ????????????????. This means being intentional about how they use their time, ensuring they block out periods for both urgent and important tasks. b) I would encourage them to ?????????? ???? ???????? ???????? ?????? ?????????????? and let go of what they can't. This helps to reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed and allows the executive to channel their energy into productive actions that will lead to success. c) I would suggest they ?????????????? ?????????????????????? ?????????????????? to help stay grounded and present.
