Golf course pests can disrupt play and member satisfaction. Here's how to handle the situation effectively:
- Establish a regular monitoring system to identify pest activity early.
- Use environmentally friendly pest control methods to maintain the course.
- Communicate openly with members about steps being taken to resolve the issue.

Wild Boars are some of the toughest to control and most dangerous to destruction of property. They are usually digging for grubs. Sprinkling a few moth balls around the perimeter of where they most enter and exit the property can help. Give a Call to your GCSAA. They can usually shed some light on how to prepare and rid them. A good golf course superintendent will have already done this and hopefully eliminated most of the issues. Ducks are beautiful, but can really mess up your course. Loud bells, music, and noise of most any kind can make them choose another pretty pond to make home. As in any case of unwanted issues, some of us are old enough to have experienced most things, but call upon your associations, the superintendents.

At the golf course I used to work at we had a severe wild boar issue, the good thing about them is that before getting comfortable and destroying the area looking for food, they usually check the area beforehand and you can clearly see that they have been there, so we could support the fences a bit as having the maintenance crew ready on a daily basis to repair the damages. That preparation and communication enabled us to prepare the client for what was coming since we couldn′t prevent them from entering or kill them
