I worked with a Leader who was overwhelmed, exhausted, and working 60+ hours a week. It was affecting their health, relationships at home and work, and productivity was beginning to be impacted. All this and they would not/could not delegate responsibility to others. Although they were a leader, they were still operating as an Individual Contributor. Some of their challenges were in extending trust to their direct reports and in redefining their leadership style. By asking empowering questions we were able to shift their mindset from tactical to strategic and create a plan to develop greater trust and capabilities within the team.
