One thing I'll always come back to no matter what is understanding the user base. When the clients do not understand the theoretical benefits, logical reason becomes your ultimate defence weapon. Do your homework before this about users and get the following questions answered: 1. What is the age range we're dealing with? 2. What accessibility issues do they have? 3. What is their contribution to the overall user base? 4. How much revenue do they generate now? This will give you enough data points to identify patterns and make a case about the need for accessibility for their user base. As this will be customer-oriented, clients usually tend to accept the case.
