Two points while balancing speed and vetting, to ensure quality hires without sacrificing efficiency for me would be: 1. Be thorough with the JD. Study the JD and the role very well before starting to source candidates. This, I believe is often neglected. 2. Ensure that the candidate not only fit into the qualifications but aligns well with the company goals. This comes with open interaction from the first day of the process with every candidate. Practicing this helps in sourcing and hiring quality candidates.
