Simulation tools like Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) reduce the need for expensive physical prototypes. In a high-speed aircraft design project, we utilised CFD to model aerodynamic performance under various conditions, which eliminated the need for multiple wind tunnel tests. This approach allowed us to validate the design and ensure quality at a fraction of the cost. Using advanced simulations enabled us to allocate resources more efficiently, focusing physical tests only on critical areas, which optimised both quality and budget.
