Find a trusted mentor or colleague who you can share your wins and failures with. It's a great exercise when you have someone who can help you navigate through the failures and remind you of your wins! Finally, don't be afraid to fail again. Keep trying new things.

The first step for me is acceptance. Coming to terms with the reality instead of dwelling on how I wanted this to be. The next step is awareness. That involves shifting the blame and guilt that naturally accompanies any failure, from myself to the process itself. Not that the process is unfair but that at this particularly time, my skills/knowledge did not measure up to what the process required. Finally get a paper and pen and write down areas that you can work on. Was it tough questions? Maybe questions you didn't know of? Contact a mentor and do some research on the same. Keep yourself open for learning.

FAILURE ISN'T DEFEAT! GIVING UP IS! Never confuse your failure to perform or achieve as defeat. You tried and gave it the best you could, even a bit beyond. No one will ever know, how hard you tried, how fast you went, or how exhaustion started becoming addicting. No one will ever say it but I will. "I know you did your best. You went beyond the limitations set by the very people that surround you and you nearly destroyed everything to achieve something but you didn't achieve it. I KNOW YOU TRIED!!!"
