Reach out, that's very important. At times, we don't fully leverage the network and hesitate in reaching out. 1. Write to Hr's over linkedIn introducing yourself. 2. Connect with Executive search firm to understand market trends. 3. Be active on LinkedIn. are some basic things one can start with.

One thing I have found helpful is to start connecting with people who work at companies you have found interesting. Ask questions, be assertive. Do not just blast your resume to every connection.

Join groups! Also, follow Companies & Influencers. Follow companies you're interested in and industry leaders to stay updated and network with them. Share Valuable Content-hense why I post my thoughts within here!! Post industry articles, success stories, or even create your own content to position yourself as a thought leader.

Reach out to previous colleagues as well as friends, they might have some job openings in their circle. Also search for companies that you always found interesting, ask team members from there for a small chat and ask for advice on how to start working there.

Keep those connections warm by staying in touch regularly – you never know when an opportunity might come knocking.

Basically, the more you know about the market, the better equipped you'll be to land that next opportunity.

Have a look on Instagram and Meta group channels. Attend industry events, webinars, and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and expand your professional network.

Practice answering common interview questions and be ready to discuss your experience, skills, and why you're interested in the position and company. Research the company and come prepared with questions to ask the interviewer. Stay organized and Keep track of the jobs you've applied for, deadlines, and follow-up actions. Consider using a spreadsheet or job search app to stay organized

Prioritize companies that align with your values and offer opportunities for growth and development. Make sure that you are applying not just to be part of the company, but also part of the team.

Research the company thoroughly to understand its mission, values, products/services, and recent developments. Approach the interview with confidence, enthusiasm, and authenticity. Don’t forget to smile=)

Wait a week after interview, 2 after application. Target hiring manager, personalize message. Highlight details, offer value (info, enthusiasm). Use same communication method (email/phone). Be brief, professional, avoid multiple follow-ups. Thank them regardless of the outcome.

Job searching can be challenging, but try to stay positive and keep pushing forward. Stay persistent and continue applying for roles, reaching out to contacts, and networking. Remember that finding a new job takes time, so be patient with yourself and keep putting in the effort. My first recommendation - rest. As hard as it is in this new phase, do what you need to do to rest and recover. You have to be in your best mind to find your next job. Bills will get paid somehow, lean on your supporting friends and family, everything will work out. It is devastating to be laid off and before you can make your next clear-headed and confident step, rest.

This is emotionally draining. Take time to feel your feelings. Reach out to your support system. Know you're not alone and it's not you. The market is just awful. Keep going and stay strong.

First things first: make sure your linkedin profile is fully populated and optimized. Then, build a list of thought leaders, SME's, contacts/potential contacts in the firms and sectors you aspire to work with/in. Start authentically engaging with their content, creating your own content and network with them. You'll be amazed how many people are willing to offer help, time and advice if you approach them in the right way. Remember: it's about who you know as much as what you know; and strategic networking is a much more effective (and less demoralizing) way of searching for a new role, rather than just applying to as many job adverts as possible.

Remain Positive and Persistent: Finding a job might be difficult and time-consuming, but it's important to maintain your positivity and perseverance. Establish reasonable objectives for yourself, acknowledge minor accomplishments along the road, and maintain motivation by concentrating on your long-term professional ambitions

Sharpen your 2nd skills while watching video or doing any kind of experiment by yourself, or you can also take any classes for it. Apply these steps to get a job.
