There is loads planning advice people can add about activities and assignments which I'll leave to them. But having written five books, I think the best time I spent was reading other people. Don't just plan activities, projects and assignments. Plan time to read great authors. If writing non-fiction, read non-fiction writers and see how they structure their thoughts. And enjoy the read - don't force it. (If you don't like reading, I can't imagine writing is would be fun.) And read fiction authors, too, so you can how they creatively frame ideas, reveal characters and establish plots. This will help you find your voice.
