I would have put this step as the second one. The team members are permanently producing information, so they are the ones who must understand the sensitivity of it. Once they are aware of the importance of the information as an asset, they can learn to protect it appropriately.

Whether it's using strong passwords, ensuring data encryption, or reviewing code for vulnerabilities, every small action counts towards safeguarding the company's data.
