Uno de los temas más importantes para hablar en público es "define tu objetivo". Si el objetivo es informar, persuadir, instruir o motivar, te será más fácil definir una agenda de temas que tratarás en tu presentación. Con eso en mente, el mensaje será más claro. Pregúntate ?esto que voy a decir cumple con el objetivo de ...? y busca la forma de decirlo para que sí lo cumpla. También, planificarlo permitirá que las ideas estén más enlazadas entre sí, lo que hará más fácil para la audiencia comprender lo que quieres comunicar. La planificación también te permitirá enfocarte en lo que quieres comunicar y no tendrás que pensar ejemplos en ese momento que pudieran no ser acordes al mensaje. Sobre todo, planificar evitará distracciones.

Enfócate en que tu presentación sea entendible. Crea tu presentación con tiempo, para que tengas oportunidad de leerla varias veces revisando que no haya conceptos ambigüos o que puedan ser malinterpretados.

I think practicing my speech delivery and overcoming my fear for public speaking has helped me a lot in this regard. It has made me a lot realistic and reduced my nervousness. In this way, I can improve my communication skills.

A great tip that I give students is to think of the speech as similar to acting. Not as a new character, but as a better version of yourself. What I do to practice is as I am doing other things at home I rehearse what I am trying to say over and over. I pick the section of the presentation I want to practice and I focus only on that section until I am satisfied. Actually, I do this all that time with many aspects of speaking, pronunciation, and other communication skills. Its the repetition that build the skill. There is not really a shortcut to it. Also, I want to be good at this skill so I am happy to practice. I hope this was helpful.

I confess that I only made it "easy" after facing the fear of starting. Practice and practice a lot. For acquaintances then for strangers, for a few people and then for many. The key is to get used to being the protagonist of the speech, the center of attention on stage and mastering the emotions that arise in this process. Once the emotions are mastered, the content is the easy part, your daily work that you are possibly the person who knows the most.

Well, I would say that if you know very well the subject, project that you were working on, you should not fear speaking for an audience.

The most important to the public is your emotions. You need confidence and, a clear voice, you can't gag at any point and also your body language matters. all of this requires training and study.

IMHO this is a crucial part of overcoming the public speaking fear. The very first thing I would suggest is to do a self review. Record yourself doing a speech then payback and make necessary changes until you're satisfied. Once you're satisfied then it's time to seek feedback from a third person. Make adjustments after getting the feedback then rinse and repeat.

Cuando uno tiene menos experiencia, es muy importante buscar retroalimentación. Al iniciar, incluso con un familiar suele ser útil, ya que si nuestras ideas son claras, nuestro familiar entenderá la idea y si lo hemos explicado de una forma muy rebuscada o revuelta, nuestro familiar tomará más tiempo para entenderlo. Si bien uno pueda pensar "las muletillas", "el tono de voz", "el volumen", "los nervios" y muchas otras cosas, la retroalimentación nos permitirá saber cuáles son los puntos más importantes para trabajar. Recuerda, un paso a la vez. También tomar cursos de comunicación oral suelen servir pero busca un ambiente cómodo para seguir creciendo.

Algumas práticas como: escutar uma música que eu gosto, repito frases poderosas, repasso a apresenta??o com alguém, me visualizo interagindo com os participantes, s?o as que costumo utilizar quando preciso apresentar algo. Although a lot of people fear Public speaking-I am not one of those people. College provided me with a wonderful speech teacher who made it seem easy. Preparation, practice and presentation that engages the audience all help to create a speech that others want to hear. Change in tone and eye contact With the audience also helps - along with a good dose of humor. Laughter (when appropriate) truly helps - if it good for the soul - it is good for the speech. Once your audience gets the joke or humor it will also help you to relax - set your pace and continue or finish up your speech/delivery. Remembering that when you say In conclusion 80% tunes back in to what you are saying!!

Never stop learning. Gather for feedback, read books, practice oratory. Dominate all the themes that you need to speech, and never lose your curiosity on the themes that you present to your public.

Siempre recuerda que todos somos humanos y el error está permitido. La mejor forma de aprender es hacerlo, y puedes empezar por un ambiente donde te sientas seguro. En una reunión con amigos, contarles una noticia de tu interés, un suceso. En el trabajo pueda parecer intimidante una mala presentación. Recuerda que lo importante es que las ideas que transmitas sean claras, y muestres interés en que la audiencia reciba tu idea. A medida que lo hagas, te parecerá más natural cada vez y podrás trabajar en perfeccionarlo. Una frase que a mí me ayudó a mejorar mis presentaciones fue: "no hay malos conferencistas, hay conferencistas que no preparan su presentación"

Public speaking is not about you! It is about the audience... It is very easy to load pressure onto ourselves when we make the speech about us. The goal is to help others understand something and that is it. The fear of judgement is mostly just us over thinking. Make the focus the audience and help them to understand the concept. A lot of the pressure will be lifted.

A successful project is lead by discussion, not dictation. It can be terrifying to put yourself on a stage, but if you bring everyone up there with you it not only takes the pressure off of you to feel like you have all of the answers, but also gives you, and everyone else, the opportunity to learn. Of course - there is a way to do that - open floor can be messy! But creating a space or platform for input is a massive benefit. For example, at the end of your presentation - rather than having just "Questions" (which would be directed at you), have "questions and answers" - and emphasise that it's a space for others to contribute their knowledge at the questions being asked.
