Because after selecting design and stack we’re implementing it or writing code for it if our design and tools are not selected correctly then we’re not able to implement the project which ends in the waste of time and cost. So, that’s why to do any big project it’s tech stack is more important.

It is worth considering some of the following: - Static code analysis tools - automatically detect issues in the codebase before humans review the code. - AI code generation tools - they are not the answer to all problems, but they can significantly speed up development time given that only skilled engineers use them. - Dedicated IDEs - even though VS Code is great, it is not suitable for everything; if you are using a mix of technologies in your projects, it might be hectic to switch between VS Code configurations; consider using dedicated IDEs for languages you use.

Your design on-prem will work one way, while your design in the cloude will work very differently. Micro service mesh will work very differently than simple client/server.

This I disagree with. Testing approaches need to be part of your design and architecture. Test driven design should weigh heavily across your architecture, tech stack, policies, procedures and staffing. Strive for 1:1 DEV/QA ratio espeyif your doing Agile.

You can leverage the CI/CD pipeline to do half of your job. Writing testable code is one thing, but running the tests is another. How often do you see a pull request with failing tests? One would think anyone runs the tests before publishing the code, but this is often not the case. That's why automating the testing, building and publishing process will improve confidence in change within your team. This is crucial, especially in the context of large projects.

Make sure everybody understands how testing is going to be managed and with what tools. Triple A pattern? Mocking? Interfaces.. clearly understand difference between integration tests, % coverage you want to reach out, clearly separate domain logic. Do not write tests that actually don't try the code, make sure test is well designed. Think about how do you want to standarize data used in fake tests, shared common project? dockerize database? Makre sure you think aboud edge cases, happy path should not be the only thing to test, never. You can even consider having a separate project to run over night through integration tests to not make pipelines slower.

At this point, it's much better to take a step back, talk to your customers and stakeholders and align the objectives. In the end, your large software project might become much smaller; the smaller the project, the easier it is to grasp concepts and focus on solving real problems :)
