Also, it is your responsibility to follow testing standards, procedures and policies, providing accurate, timely and relevant information. Knowing your rights and responsibilities strengthens your credibility, authority and helps establish clear boundaries and expectations with stakeholders. Although a fundamental part of your life is work, it is only a job, health is paramount, it may not be your business.

By being able to show the end result for your actions and be data driven you can become more confident and be perceived as assertive and domain expert. When you’re unprepared and your thesis is easily dismissed it’s hard to “win” with your counterparts (that it true on all domains not only In testing). Within testing as an example you’re trying to bring a new tool or solution and being challenged by your stakeholder, by showing that you’ve already made Progress and have data to show for and present clear benefits to him and the team you’re in a much better position to build your assertiveness and win such challenges
