In order to find a career that will bring true meaning to your life, you first need to identify your talents, passions and mission. This means finding what you do best, what you enjoy doing and what will make it all worthwhile. When you can find a career that aligns with all three, you will be in your sweet spot, and you will finally have a vision for where you want your life to go.

Start by assessing your strengths and interests to clarify your career motivations. ?? Seek feedback from mentors for insights on potential paths. Set specific, achievable goals and break them into actionable steps. Explore opportunities through networking, online courses, or job shadowing in areas that excite you. Remember, career growth is a journey—embrace flexibility and adapt your plan as you learn. ??? "Success is where preparation and opportunity meet" — Sethunath, HRBP

Uncertainty = opportunity! It is most important to get clear about those moments of brilliance where your unique "superpowers" made a difference to others AND you had great impact - and many times those experiences were not part of your job description. Gay Hendricks calls these "Zone of Genius" moments and if you can explore jobs and situations where you can exercise more of your superpowers others will readily see your value and you will find more fulfilling career opportunities through everyday work and networking interactions. It's where your values, expertise, curiosity, and interests all align in the most synergistic way!

Well, clearly no meaningful action plan is possible without clarity about your career direction. In fact, this is one of the top challenges my mid-career clients are facing. They want to act, but they don't know where they want to get as a result... So first action is to seek help in order to define a longer-term direction of your career.

TIFF TIP: When you're uncertain about your career direction, here's what I recommend: ?? EXPLORE your options by using keywords to search job boards (and not just pre-conceived titles) ?? DISCOVER what piques your interest by reading the entire description, in case the titles don't match ??TEST your interest by having information interviews with people in the industry Let your motivation and excitement be your guide!
