If your app needs mobile specific features or hardware, like gestures or using the camera. But it doesn’t do anything where the way Android or iOS differentiates the platform, then a generic, mobile UI meets your needs. And finally, if you have the time and resources, doing a native UI for both iOS and Android is the best user experience.
