These are some even in early adopters in the industry. 1.If you don't have clear picture on the high level requirements and the objectives of end product then you will end up building byproducts than end product. 2.Lean methods doesn't mean less documentation,if not documented well the team will pile up bundle of backlogs. 3.Reiteration of vision of end product often among the stakeholders is inevitable as the stakeholders change along the time as the project progress. 4.Sprinting ahead in a longer cycles really worn out the resources. For an Agile-newbie ??, one of the major misconceptions is that - "Transforming to Agile can completely solve all the current problems for the team / project / organization". There are still projects that run successfully on waterfall & continue to excel ?? However, Agile gives us the flexibility to adapt to the changing environments, prioritized delivery & reduces/mitigates the risk at an early stage itself ??And hence by default, is being the choice of most of the orgs & it really helps! ?? So for all the greenhorns who are getting in - Kindly evaluate & take the best out of Agile practices & tailor it based on the org's need!

in my experience when you try to implement the agile method on a team with no prior experience with it. it is seen as a wast of time and some even belive there is no need for it. most software companies are run by people with no concept of the system.
