You’d be surprised how much of this you can do yourself, you don’t need to pay expensive consultants. You just need to do some reading and follow the gov.uk websites. It will save you a fortune.

Before any growth plans you need to understand if your product or service is a good fit for your market. Test this and see what works and does not work. You cannot plan growth if you do not have the foundations of a business to work from. Tackle your initial steps and get over any struggles or limitations you might have about yourself or your business. Growth only comes later and you can waste to much time thinking about too many aspects that will change in the early stages.

Ensure you've got enough time to be consistently marketing and audience building. Everything sells unless you mistake the word 'consistently' for 'twice every few months'.

Consider doing SWOT analysis for any new business or idea implementation. It is a robust way in determining what is your Strength & Weakness. Doing this also gives a view of external Opportunities like festive seasons and Threats like competitors product.

Write down everything. See the progress you’re making. Get a diary and write a ‘done’ list. This will help you focus on the things that are actually pushing your business forwards.
