Being a technical support professional isn't just about fixing issues; it's about maintaining a positive attitude and staying motivated in the face of challenges. During my professional journey one of the key fundamentals that I have learned is that setting goals and alignment with the business goals make your work easier. All technical staff should be onboarded and overall management vision along with business objectives should be discussed with technical staff. It helps in keeping the team motivated and outcome driven.

In my experience, always think about what you can bring to your departmental goal and how to achieve it with the best experience and knowledge that you have gained so far. Keep up your positive energy. ????

Embrace the challenges presented by technical issues as opportunities to enhance your problem-solving skills. Each issue resolved successfully can be seen as a small victory.

Motivation must come from within. Motivation becomes stronger when: 1. You achieve good results 2. When you genuinely listen and accept constructive feedback. 3. Never stop learning and discovering. 4. Put yourself in uncomfortable and unknown situations. 5. Take calculated risks. 6. Believe in yourself and in what you could potentially achieve. 7. Be humble and accept criticism. 8. Treat your team as your second family, and remember that your clients are the reason that do what you do, so treat them with respect. 9. The more you mentor and teach, the more you learn and get motivated. 10. Have a good impact in the industry. One day, your name will be mentioned in good discussions.

I've heard this quote in various ways but I've translated for myself in my teaching. "If you're not learning, You're not growing. If you're not growing, you're not living. If you're not living, what are you doing?" Feedback is the gift that keeps on giving. Finding ways to grow yourself in various areas. But it also takes you being humble to accept that feedback and challenging yourself to grow. I often find with people who seek mentorship undersell themselves in regards to the value they bring. Which often is far from the case.

La actividad de brindar soporte técnico, aunque en muchas ocasiones, es una tarea ardua, también puede ser gratificante si se considera que cada caso particular lleva en sí un aprendizaje inherente en la manera de abordar una problemática, lo cual va aparejado de la satisfacción del cliente y la propia misma del especialista que constata al momento de la resolución la valía de sus acciones como profesional.

You can always ask for anonymous feedback if people aren't happy to give it face to face, this helps them to be more honest e.g. survey monkey, but make sure you ask for details rather than generic statements where possible. The more specific the better, as it will give you some actions to complete to help improve. Try to make it easy for the reviewer, have a short number of questions, maybe 3 maximum - to help those in a hurry. Always go back after a duration to see if your feedback is resolved or improved and this in itself can cultivate a good working relationship for future advice.

Stay Positive: Maintain a positive attitude, even when dealing with challenging situations. Focus on finding solutions rather than dwelling on problems.

Normally the Technical Support area is where user problems arrive in companies, that is why it is important to create a work environment in the team, train very well with continuing education and create workloads according to the needs of the company, such as What happens with airplane pilots, if you exceed the pilots' flight hours, you will surely have problems created by the staff. A good balanced and trained team will surely have great results.

To achieve optimal performance, it is essential to strike a balance between work demands and personal well-being. Incorporating practices such as stoicism or mindfulness can greatly aid in this endeavor. Recognizing the importance of periodic breaks to rejuvenate and detach is crucial. Often, we become engrossed in our tasks, mistakenly believing that continuous exertion equates to productivity. However, persisting without pause can lead to depletion of energy and diminishing returns. Embracing intervals for rest and recharge not only replenishes our energy levels but also opens avenues for fresh perspectives and enhanced productivity.

It's possible to have a healthy work environment when you optimize your work day, and be self-time optimizer. Set an agenda, work to fullfill your daily routine, use your free time to rest your body and mind, at the end of the day, take care of yourself.

This should be number one on the list. Without being physically and mentally healthy, not only we cannot be motivated. We create a negative and unhealthy work environments for others. I use Eisenhower Matrix to prioritize and schedule my tasks. A simple yet effective tool.

Being able to balance your workload and real life is essential to developing a real career and caring employee. Sadly, most companies seem to care more about justifying the building than caring about the employee. Just simple things like starting and ending when you need to, or extra time off so long as your ob is done can go a long way. The way I balance things is to put my family first, then my job. Sound odd? It shouldn't. The work gets done, but I still have to battle for concern in a corporate world.

I feel staying motivated for a demanding role. It’s always a perception that when you draw a black dot on a white board, the audience will be focused on the black dots rather than the white board. Same goes for success and failures. With demanding roles, it is most likely that people may be directing you towards the black dots(failures) and we tend to forget that the white board(success) is still available to move ahead and create your own version of motivational space. In my opinion, we should be able to highlight both the aspects of our efforts in a balanced way which in turn will keep us motivated and boost our confidence/ build up on our experience/ broaden the expertise.

Never forget what you have achieved and be proud of it. It's easy to forget your successes and just move onto the next thing. Also don't get too caught up in failures. They are going to happen - always recognise you are not perfect even though you may plan down to the nth degree for mistakes not to happen. Just remember they are obstacles to overcome and to look at the positive with them. We learn faster and quicker from our failures as that experience sticks with us and we sure as hell remember what NOT to do next time. :)

As per my experience, we must celebrate our success whether it is a small fix or critical resolution because this learning is going to be added in our bucket of experience. And one should document the error/issue and remedy so that it will be helpful for others.

Celebrating success such as surviving a “back to work” from a big enterprise. (Dear god those vacations have to be amazing, quite a lot forget their password). Or being able to handle a Major Incident, and overcoming the never ending queue of calls. There is no 100% individual success, all contribute in one form or another, so keep celebrating ?? whether you crashed the numbers or the team went under KPIs, the important part is, no one could have done anything alone.

Having a hand in addressing an important defect can be very satisfying! You get to play the role of customer advocate and collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to improve the product. Being able to report issues and see them through to completion is a skill worth celebrating.

As a technical support professional, my motivation sometimes stems from a big-picture perspective: The profound impact I have on the lives of millions of people through the systems I support. When issues arise, it's not just about fixing a glitch; it's about ensuring that thousands of individuals can carry on with their daily routines uninterrupted. Knowing that my efforts contribute to the seamless functioning of these systems, thereby enhancing the lives of countless individuals, fuels my passion and sense of purpose. It's not just about troubleshooting and resolving incidents for me; it's about making a tangible difference in the world and enriching the lives of many.

What keeps me motivated and inspired is the clear purpose and passion for my work. My purpose is to help people solve their challenges and improve their experience with the products and services they use. I enjoy being able to provide solutions, guidance, and support to customers who need it. I also appreciate the feedback and gratitude I receive from them, which makes me feel valued and appreciated. I love also exploring new features, tools, and updates that can make my work easier and more enjoyable. These are the two main factors that drive my self-motivation and enthusiasm for my work. I believe that having a clear purpose and passion for your work is essential for any professional, especially in the technical support field.

Remember that people are calling because they need your help. Let that altruism drive you. Even if you only have fifteen seconds between calls, take a moment to reflect on what went well on the previous call and use that momentum to carry into the next one.

Uma vez perguntaram pra um faxineiro que trabalha na Nasa: "O que você faz aqui?" Resp: "Matenho limpo o ambiente das pessoas que v?o descobrindo o universo". O senso de propósito é o diferencial real que muda o dia-a-dia em se manter motivado.

Sempre trabalhe com sentimento de ser útil ao próximo e a sociedade que pertence. Os conhecimentos adquiridos através da forma??o acadêmica, vivência profissionais e etc, nos d?o maturidade e a dimens?o do tamanho do servi?o a ser prestado. E na entrega do seu melhor, nasce o sentimento de gratid?o pela oportunidade de ter sido útil ao seu cliente e assim se conclui a atividade de forma alegre e proveitosa para ambas as partes.

BE GENUINELY CURIOUS This is the only thing that can keep you motivated FOREVER !!! It will drive you to find the solution to many problems, as you will have a natural desire to investigate and to learn new things every single day. Being genuinely curious will keep your appetite for learning new things always on, and you will soon find out that you are more interested in learning new things, than defending what you already know

Trying to see the positives in every situation and with your team! Be in a feel good mood so it sets the pace! Even when there's challenges and "aaarrrgh" moments - being surrounded by a great team that can laugh together can always mellow those challenges. Have open discussions and open to suggestions that lead to solving issues and being motivated together!

You are in a industry where some new technology pops up every two weeks, if you do not like learning new skill sets, you are in the wrong industry. Also, you can learn a lot from your successes, but even more from your failures. The first step however, is to own them. If your first reflex is to point the finger at someone else, you will not learn anything from it

Technical Support is all about being efficient, friendly, empathetic, and helpful. Motivation comes and goes though, which is why making good technical support habits is so important. Always place yourself in the customer’s shoes, be as transparent and proactive as possible - and try to turn a potentially negative situation into a positive experience.

Don't be satisfied. Wish for more, follow your curiosity, chase that question mark floating over your head. New paths open without you knowing, so follow your passions, solve your charades, and go for a leap of faith if you feel it.
