CSR as a strategy can work only when all the internal stakeholders are aligned and that can happen when CSR becomes core to the business of the organisation as well. This calls for much more deeper work around internalising CSR into the everyday workings of the business.

CSR activities work when 1. The donor is absolutely resolved about where to invest and what outcomes to be achieved in a decided timeline. 2. When the issue they want to work with can be measured and the mode of operation is transparent and donor has built some level of managing internal stakeholders or partners 3. Internal stakeholders have to be aligned with the objectives, scope of work and goals setting. 4. While working with government, donors must keep in mind that not everything will work according to them and how to get government stakeholders buy-in first.

Examples include: 1.Number of volunteer hours for employee engagement programs. 2.Reduction in carbon footprint for sustainability initiatives. 3.Amount of funds raised or donated to charities. Data Collection System: Establish a system for collecting data on your CSR initiatives. Impact Reporting: Prepare clear and concise reports that showcase the impact of your CSR initiatives.
