The exploration has multiple stages and each stage should consider biodiversity conservation. Any exploration starts with reconnaissance followed by objectives determination, geographical area (size in sq.km.) under investigation and type of exploration activities planned to be conducted on the ground. Is it onshore or onshore activity? This stage itself should have types of biodiversity existing in area of investigation. This followed by literature review, earlier work done by previous worker and integration of all this very critical information on desktop study. Digital maps of all bio sensitive zones. In first place avoid them or minimise intervention by aligning the exploration objectives and possible ways to to minimise impact.

En tant que chargé d'exploration géologique d'un projet minier, il est impératif d'évaluer les études sur l'impact environnemental de ce projet sur l'écosystème à travers des experts environnementaux locaux, la direction Nationale de l'environnement et le ministère de tutelle pour mettre en place un document de protection environnementale notamment sur la faune et la flore tout au long du projet, assorti d'un engagement ferme des parties prenantes. En mettant en ?uvre un plan stratégique écologique d'ouverture de la mine et de fermeture, avec des solutions mesurables composées des rapports environnementaux à chaque étape de l'évolution du projet.

Para realizar cualquier proyecto de exploración previamente se realiza un análisis de impacto ambiental, en el cual se busca comprender cuáles son las características del ecosistema donde se trabajará, y cuales son los aspectos más críticos. Desde el punto de vista geológico los puntos que más se destacan son el drenaje del área, su topografía/geomorfologia y el perfil de suelo natural que existente. Estos 3 aspectos están íntimamente relacionados con la flora y la fauna del área de estudio.
