Goal setting is to ensure we have a clearly defined objective of how we move from the current position to a place where our skills would be utilised. Creating a road map using the SMART framework to define our goals will show a journey of how we would progress. For example the road map to land a job as a data analyst in the healthcare industry by the end of the year would show the need to send a job application to one organisation within the industry daily. Steps to take to prepare for interviews, etc Aside setting a SMART goal, we need to create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for these goals. What will success look like upon landing the role and how to ensure our skills are continuously updated.
