I have a different perspective on this. In my experience of working on dozens of Robotics and other projects, the process of designing a robot and birthing it into the the 3D world, is a pretty tough and humbling process. There are a lot of factors at play that may go wrong - production, calibration, code, design(!!). But a good roboticist marches forward doing her best, taking every care so that her endeavour bores fruit! Going through this entire process multiple times, teaches one emotional regulation & contributes to strengthening the values of tenacity, excellent work ethic & determination. All these character traits, in turn, contribute to decision making, that is efficient, empathetic as well as true to your own beliefs and values.
