You're struggling to keep up with your work. How can you stay motivated?

In my opinion, to stay motivated when struggling to keep up with work follow the below points:- ??Break tasks into smaller, manageable chunks. ??Set specific, achievable goals. ??Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. ??Take short breaks to refresh your mind. ??Find inspiration from colleagues, mentors, or success stories. ??Reward yourself upon completing milestones. ??Maintain a healthy work-life balance to prevent burnout.

Constantly develop and look for new opportunities. Question the status quo - get comfortable with staying on the edge of your comfort zone.

It's important to prioritise your tasks and focus on the most important ones. Instead of overwhelming yourself with a long list of activities, I recommend selecting no more than three tasks that are crucial for achieving your long-term goal. Here are a few suggestions to help you achieve that. 1. Break down larger goals into smaller, manageable tasks. 2. Establish clear deadlines for each task. 3. Track your progress to stay motivated and focused. 4. Reflect on your reasons for pursuing your goals. 5. Connect your daily tasks to your long-term aspirations and values. 6. Stay focused on the bigger picture to maintain motivation during difficult times.

What makes feedback hard to give and hard to receive is that it focuses on the past, leaving the feedback receiver and giver little control over how to fix or improve the situation. Feedforward frames narratives that focus on how one can improve when given another chance to do the same work. This not only makes the feedback easier to frame, but it's also easier to receive. The next time you seek for feedback, ask your manager or peer to frame their feedback that looks into the future. Phrases like "If you were to do this again, how would you change your approach" help prompt corrective thinking which would help you correct or improve your approach in the future.

When work is piling up and motivations are dwindling, enriching your approach with a small time investment into a new tool/methodology/resource might be just the ticket to jump start your battery ;)

Celebrating small wins is huge if you want to sustain high levels of focus, and productivity, and stay resilient against procrastination. But more than attaching rewards to each good work you do, attaching more significant rewards for things that are hard to do will also help you improve your working methods. Like when you decide to do the most difficult task first and stick to it until you have finished it is worth a decent reward rather than simply ticking the simple tasks first which you know you can do very easily.

Meeting deadlines, achieving goals, etc have almost become routine in many people’s lives. Because of this when someone does something great, they don’t see it as an achievement but rather a box that’s been checked off. Rewarding yourself for hard work shows that your contributions are valued. Not only does it boost your self-confidence, but it also gives you the motivation to achieve other goals you’ve set for yourself.

Self rewarding is an effective way to boost motivation,it is aligned to self care as well specially when you feel overwhelmed & demotivated due to work or stress disconnect & take break for sometime to rejuvenate >Take time off treat yourself have coffee/Tea or eat what you like most ,feel fresh air go for walk or do what you like most, it help indeed >To get solution its important to know problem! analyse reason behind demotivation is it work,stress or saturation than work on it >Learn new technology to feel challenge >Recall your best performance or appreciation to remind yourself what you like about your job & why you were passionate about opting this career or role >Opt new initiative for change incase of saturation

It’s important for me to maintain a balance between my work and personal life because it keeps me from becoming to overwhelmed by work. I’m intentional about planning and participating in things outside of work. I’m also fortunate that I have a great relationship with my boss because anytime I do feel overwhelmed or stressed I can have an open and honest conversation with her about what needs to change.

This is by far the hardest juggle, especially as a working parent but it's so important to strike the balance so you can deliver and be present in home and work life. I work hours that work around family life, and I'm productive in the hours I work. I box off my time to individual activities and have to learn to focus on the areas most relevant to my work and prioritise those and my time. I delegate tasks, step away from projects that don't require my input and focus on driving results for areas I'm accountable for. I also make sure I take time out, and look after my own wellbeing for my own benefit and so I can be at my best as a mum, and in my role at work.

Here are some tips and guidance to maintain a healthy work-life balance. 1. You should balance 4 quadrants of life - social, family, friends and spiritual . All 4 are equally important and can’t be replaced. Give equal time in day/week/Month 2. Set boundaries between work and personal life. 3. Schedule dedicated time for leisure activities and self-care. 4. Prioritise activities that promote well-being and fulfillment outside of work. 5. Schedule regular breaks throughout your workday. 6. Use breaks to rest, recharge, and engage in activities you enjoy. 7. Avoid burnout by stepping away from work when needed.

When my motivation slows, I say 'its OK', every human has ebbs and flows. The expectation that we're to be motivated 100% of the time is aligned with being a human doing vs. a human being. My thoughts for others: take a break, share it with a colleague whom you trust and at other times, ignore the feeling and PRESS ON (act as if)! The key here, is discernment of what tools work best for YOU and deciding how much motivation is normal on a full-time, 24/7 basis.

Connect with your ‘why’ for inspiration, and centre your day around a set of key tasks/deliverables that can be broken down. Plan rigidly and stay positive! We all veer off track, that’s not always within our control, but what ultimately matters is the baby steps that took you to the right conclusion. I find staying grounded helps with that sense of connection. Meditate (whatever gives you energy) but keep coming back to that list!

Self motivation comes from within yourself, you have to like what you do, you can accomplish your tasks with a good attitude, you don’t need to depend on someone else to make you motivated but you also have to have a good relationship with your manager and peers. Never be afraid to ask questions and ask for assistance, what doesn’t get done today will be done tomorrow, have faith in yourself!

Whenever motivations are dwindling, it may be a time to reflect if your work is aligned to your long-term interests and career aspirations. Might be time for a change ;)
