Mi principal función en mi trabajo es administrar SIG en la nube, lo que sin duda brinda muchas oportunidades para la colaboración en equipo, para compartir datos y desde mi punto de vista lo mas importante, la accesibilidad para la visualización y consultas geoespaciales, ya que hoy en día con los SIG en la nube poder desarrollar robustos visores web que pueden ser accedidos solo con conexión a internet. Además, brinda la oportunidad de que un usuario con pocos conocimientos SIG pueda usarlo sin tanta dificultad. Hoy en día la mejor alternativa para visualizar, acceder, trabajar en equipo y compartir datos geoespaciales son las soluciones en la Nube que nos brindas diferentes plataformas SIG.

En mi trabajo de tesis para la maestría que estoy cursando tengo como propuestas usar un modelo predictivo para determinar la evolución de cambios espacios temporales de la cobertura ribere?as en una cuenca de Venezuela la cual ha presentado alto impacto por diferentes actividades antrópicas y también por el efecto del cambio climático lo cual esta amenazando la existencia de una especie endémica de peces en la región. Sin duda este proyecto proporcionara respuestas a como estos impactos han estado evolucionando con el tiempo y aportaran una visión futura de como estará en unos cuantos a?os. Por lo tanto, la analítica avanzada de SIG nos ayuda a enriquecer nuestros análisis.

La visualización de datos es un área que me encanta porque nos permite comunicar información que en muchos casos es difícil de interpretar si no se cuenta con los conocimientos de expertos en el área. Pero si a nuestros datos le agregamos la componente espacial de localización e implementamos SIG podemos darle un mayor contexto a esta información haciendo que la comunicación sea mucho mas efectiva porque podemos conocer 'Donde' esta ocurriendo algún fenómeno. Lo mejor de todo es que si combinamos la visualización de datos geoespaciales con las herramientas SIG en la Nube hacemos que las comunicación rompa muchas barreras.
