My team consist of pro engineers that usually take a lead project support activity on site. They prepared with target goals, timeline, communication structure, additional arrangement related to it. At first they communicate the objectives to the PIC on the job site, remote area. The PIC there will be preparing & support some terms of condition & prerequisite related to the planned job. Job safety analysis also must be tracked down by them before implemented it, after checking prochedure is done, the permit will release. The agenda adopt with the condition on site. There might be changes on the schedule during the operations due to some unpredictive variable. But the plan B, C, D already prepared to take place. So far so good & no issue.

Clearly define project goals, individual responsibilities, and deadlines. Regular check-ins ensure everyone stays on track and knows exactly what's expected of them. Remember, clear communication is the foundation of a high-performing team.

Setting up regular meetings is ok, but sometimes it's worth just to call on the spot when it's needed - it may be quicker and more effective.

Working remotely doesn't mean you can't have fun together! Schedule virtual coffee breaks, online games, or even team-building exercises. These activities help build camaraderie and create a sense of belonging, even when you're miles apart.

During Covid times I was onboarding a wonderful colleague who just started. We weren't able to meet in the office as it was customary before. But, we established a good trusting and positive relation via video calls very quickly. And since we would be commuting to the office, one evening beer would be kind of a hassle anyways. So, after a long day of business calls with each other, we agreed to meet at 2100 again online for a virtual beer. It was great, good private talks, and then we turned of the computers and did not even have to go home lengthy by train etc. So, I would say: Its NOT about technology. If the chemistry is right, you can perfectly build a bridge between remote members. 100 % would do it again!
