To connect remote teams and overcome isolation, having clear and consistent strategies is essential. At Unidas, we focus on keeping engagement through multiple approaches. We hold regular one-on-one meetings to ensure team members feel heard and valued. We also organize occasional in-person gatherings to foster integration among hybrid teams. Additionally, we create social moments, like virtual happy hours and informal chats, which help build bonds and strengthen team spirit, even from a distance.

Agile Methodology is a great positive experience for remote distributed teams. It gives people some freedom to responsibly decide on their schedule and choose what to do. It is providing daily stand-ups to allow whole team to meet to tell what the previous day work was and what current day work will be, what are blocking issues and to re-prioritize tickets on task board. People can meet separately during the day on specific things they need, they use chatting tools to collaborate in real-time and show status as available/busy/out. They benefit from the power of AI helping them be more productive and connected than ever. Nobody remains isolated too much; everyone is joining upon their schedule and needs, unless coordinated by the lead.

In today's fast-paced world, many organizations have adopted remote work as a way to increase flexibility and productivity. While remote work offers many benefits, such as eliminating commute times and allowing employees to work from anywhere, it can also lead to feelings of isolation and disconnection among team members. This isolation gap can have a negative impact on team cohesion and communication, ultimately affecting overall team performance.
