Building rapport with disengaged leads is an ongoing journey for me and my team I focus on active listening, tuning into their needs and concerns. This helps me understand their perspective better. I share relatable stories about my experiences, creating a genuine connection that resonates. I ask open-ended questions that encourage dialogue, making them feel valued and heard. My team and I personalize our follow-ups, showing that we remember their unique challenges. We aim to offer insights and resources that genuinely help, establishing trust and credibility. In every interaction, I strive to be authentic and approachable, transforming disengagement into meaningful conversations.

Building rapport is the easiest thing.. AND IT'S DEFINITELY NOT BY TALKING ABOUT THE WEATHER! It's by... Not sounding like a salesman.. If you sound like every salesman, the leads will instantly put up their walls. Guards up kill rapport. Use your tone, be more "matter of fact" and don't be pushy. This instantly builds rapport and trust because it lowers the lead's guard and they open up.

If you have leads that are not engaging, you can look at building rapport again by simply looking at what is relevant in their market/vertical and sharing thoughts or referring material that you believe could help them. You could also offer a direct approach and ask them if the goal/desired outcome that they initially spoke to you about is still a priority.
