In my pov, incoterms work well to organize negotiation terms. Additionally, the definitions of ETD and ETA are also important. Regarding the language, in my opinion, 2024 is already the least of the problems.

I believe there are so many methods and modes to communicate buyers. Language and personal touch along with understanding of cultural differences are remains critical here. While we have different AI tools in place, I broadly see the transparency in commercial discussions especially to international standards terms and conditions pertains to payment terms, Incoterms, service obligations makes the buyers more comfortable. Of course having AI technology on board, communications channels are more open now.

Translation and scheduling tools are nice, but they're no substitute to occasionally staying up late (or waking up early) to communicate in real time. If you're working in international trade, then the job is 24/7.
