One way to make time for both work and personal interests is to find creative ways to incorporate our passions into our job. For example, a colleague of mine who loves crafting handles all our office decorations during festive seasons - she’s doing what she loves and contributing to the workplace. For me, I enjoy public speaking, so I channel that passion by leading training sessions in the company. Another colleague love to makeup conducts grooming workshops for us. By blending personal interests with work, we bring fun and creativity into our routines and find a way to enjoy both worlds. It just takes a bit of creativity to integrate what we love into our professional lives. Think about it ??

Time blocking, colour coding and ensuring you have balance in my calendar is key. Finding the times in the day where I need to shift energy, take breaks. Even micro ones to move and get outdoors, make time for learning and reading and ideally something creative. Too much of one thing doesn’t work for me.

Time Block (my personal favourite) - Dedicate certain hours to focused work and others to personal interests, so each gets attention without overlap. 3. Simplify Tasks - Focus on high-impact work. Read Cal Newport’s Slow Productivity book where he suggests doing fewer things with greater focus. 4. Take Breaks - Small breaks keep your energy up, helping you stay productive and energised for personal time too. A balanced routine starts with simple shifts.
