At Indosat, I believe building a collaborative culture starts with recognizing every team member’s contributions. When people feel appreciated, they’re more motivated to share ideas and support one another. It’s not just the big wins—small efforts matter too. A quick acknowledgment during meetings or a message of appreciation can make a real difference. I make it a priority to ensure everyone’s voice is heard and valued, creating an environment where innovation thrives, and teamwork becomes second nature.

To encourage collaboration, establish clear goals and promote open communication. Foster a culture of trust and respect, where diverse ideas are valued. Use collaboration tools and platforms to facilitate teamwork. Organize regular brainstorming sessions and workshops to inspire creativity. Recognize and reward collaborative efforts. Lead by example, demonstrating active listening and support for team initiatives. Encourage cross-departmental projects to broaden perspectives.

In order to create a collaborative workplace culture, consider the following: 1. Ensure everyone knows the team’s objectives and their roles. This aligns efforts and promotes teamwork. 2. Encourage diverse perspectives and participation from all team members to enhance creativity. 3. Use collaboration tools to facilitate communication and keep everyone engaged, especially in remote settings. I hope this helps!

Treat and develop collaboration as a key capability for your organisation. Communicate the benefits: Ensure your teams know why they should work together more. Highlight examples where your teams have combined forces to achieve goals they wouldn't have otherwise. Invest in skills/tools: Assess the current state and provide practical training to grow collaboration effectiveness. Online collaboration tools can facilitate parts of the process and complement in-person initiatives to enhance the culture. Embed in workflows: Build collaboration purposefully into how your teams do business. I've found including specific actions to work with stakeholders normalises these activities and grows stronger relationships. #Leadership #Collaboration

Collaboration isn’t just a process—it’s the culture you build around your team. For me, it starts by creating a space where people feel safe to express their thoughts, even if they challenge the status quo. I’ve found that when leaders lead with openness and vulnerability, it invites the team to do the same. Recognizing team efforts and giving credit where it’s due also fuels collaboration. Ultimately, when your people feel valued and part of something bigger, collaboration becomes a natural outcome, not a forced one.
