I was once drinking coffee from a 'steel tumbler' and was on video call with my team. I usually apply 2 perspectives : 1. including people from various departments and skills, even if they seem not to be a natural choice for the problem. 2. select different personalities that complement each other. there are some tricks that make diversity work: change the team leaders after the shaping phase, form subgroups . foreign subgroups is a good tool to foster team skills of otherwise shy people. joint solutions in sub groups is also a good tool in certain cultures .
