Basic points to learn are: (1). Learn all relevant documents like SOP of the area which you intend to cover as a QA person, including critical points of each SOP like key parameters of operations, their limits etc., (2) apart from these learn how to ensure on-line documentation process to be followed by all concerned during operations, to ensure to do on-line documentation by self, review of documentation carried out and signatures and time entries, (3) check the yield reconciliation and document any deviations / incidents in the entire process you are monitoring. (4) If any such observation, to immediately inform your superior to ensure they carry out proper evaluation of the observation and carry out necessary CAPA.

Piece of advice from what I've learned so far being a QA- Start automating basic tasks you do regularly at one step day by day. The future is increasingly focused on automating repetitive testing task, enabling faster and more efficient test cycles. You'll start facing challenges in whatever domain you work and there you'll be their to the rescue for yourself and your team.
