I would recommend that you rely on the documentation and tutorials to become familiar with the basics first. Most platforms provide training tutorials and documentation to help you learn core capabilities like customer data integration, workflow automation, analytics and more. Avoid moving forward too quickly before you fully understand the concepts and how things work. Always openly ask questions when you need help, instead of making assumptions. Making wrong assumptions can mess up customer info or how things get done, which could hurt the business. This would affect the operation and results of the CRM.

Understand that CRMs are spreadsheets with a beautiful front end, sometimes. Try to understand until when you look at any platform you have a Matrix look, and only see the databases talking. After that, you need to know how to control the input, output and updating of this data. Once this is done, the CRM will bring you what you want. There are hundreds of CRMs, so when you look at the Matrix, choose one and focus on it, understand how it works, talk a lot with support, and participate in user communities, they are more important than specialists who want to sell CRM solutions, the user brings real problems to be solved and the real experts are the ones who know about the problems that will happen.

However, I've managed to overcome that fear gradually. I've come to understand that being one of the few can actually be an advantage; I can truly stand out. Even amidst a crowded field, I can carve out my own path and shine. Starting with the basics is essential, although it's easy to feel overwhelmed at times trying to figure out what those basics are. That's where following the guidance of experts becomes invaluable. Before attempting to innovate, it's crucial to thoroughly understand the existing landscape.

One of the key things is to ignore those in social media that make it look “easy”. Chances are that they had some unique situation (or at least one that is extremely unrealistic to most). The timelines they stipulate are often highly unrealistic, and you have to remember that your patience/confidence will likely be tested. If you stay the course, network your way, keep studying, opportunities will present themselves. I saw my wife take six months to make a career change into Salesforce: studying, hunting for internships, exam attempts, etc All while holding a full time job and being a mother. Just remember that it’s possible that you will struggle and that it’s not your fault: the ecosystem is competitive and requires perseverance
