Antes de tudo um compradorem deve amar o que faz. Deve vibrar quando consegue fazer um boa negocia??o para sua empresa. Deve ter bom discernimento tecnico para comprar produtos que realmente tenham qualidade e que tenham o melhor custo. Deve ser obstinado, procurar entender realmente o que o requisitante precisa, tendo muitas vezes que ajuda-lo a descobrir o que precisa. Deve procurar desenvolver novos fornecedores, buscar novas tecnologias e novidades que tragam ganhos para a empresa. Deve se acostumar com a vigilancia e estar muito alinhado com os padr?es e compliance da empresa. Deve ser ético e pensar também que n?o deve matar os fornecedores pequenos hoje para n?o ficar dependendo só dos grandes com maior poder de negocia??o.

In my experience first of all you need: 1. fully understand the scope, have all the details. Example: if it is a service, understand the scope, schedule, requirements, etc. 2. If it is a product, you need to understand who the manufacturers, distributors, etc. are 3. Even if it is a new product, understand the production process, material, whether it is machining, rotomolding, injection, etc. Having mastery of the process and scope will help you be successful in the search for suppliers and be assertive in your search.

Roles to consider should you aspire to become a sourcing/ contract specialist Buyer - executes once off and non-complex procurement requirements/ scope of works/projects . Junior procurement analyst - analyses spend and other procurement KPI’s, responsible for procurement efficiency . Contract administrator- creates contract on the system , ensures contracts are signed off and properly documented and stored , extends and amends contracts .
