To be a good test consultant, you need: - Analytical thinking, thinking differently to detect potential problems and prevent them from reaching the customer. - Ability to assign importance and prioritize, sometimes you cannot automate all tests and you must know what is critical and what is less important. - Deep technical knowledge about programming and the whole process of creating, executing and deploying software. - Ability to communicate with people at different technical levels, such as developers, project managers or customers. - Communication skills to be able to report bugs. - Ability and knowledge to be able to prevent bugs and recommend possible solutions. - Resilience to work on projects of different services
