Months back, when my team and I conducted a rush update of our CRM, we made sure to follow the strict guidelines of privacy policy of the organization. The IT support team was fully supportive, which is quite important to collaborate with the IT support team in cases of such rushed updates. We also ensured fewer people had authorization of either to view or edit and not both at the same time. It sure went a long way to ensure the update was securely executed and all customer data was duly safeguarded.
