If so, where and how—clustered or individually? Always design for scalability and create detailed documentation for future expansion.

I also choose flexible data models to easily adapt to future changes.

Once I’m ready to design a DB, it means I’ve analyzed all requirements and constraints, understanding both the current business model and future growth. I choose the DB type based on these needs—SQL for structured data and ACID compliance, or NoSQL for high throughput and flexibility.
