Oh my! don't the right tools make all the difference? A couple of years ago I was working towards getting a position where the organization preferred PBi for analysis and visualization. However, I was getting acquainted with the tool till then Tableau was my go-to tool for visualization. The shift was a bit of time taking process but when the whole environment is designed to adapt to the requirements of a particular tool, the learning process gets smoother and easier. One insight that helped me was from one of my mentors at the time "think as if you are learning to analyze and visualize for the first time whilst learning!" This changed my perspective and expectations towards the outcomes.

A while ago, I was attending a project review meeting, and the approach of one of my colleagues to presenting the findings and analysis was quite odd and old-school but felt a great use of existing resources. He has printed out the presentation that he wanted to execute and placed it before everyone, he's set out some time for everyone to individually review the document and then set some time to receive feedback. I understand the time split from a presenter's pov but from an attendee pov this allowed me time to gather my thoughts and ask questions that usually would be me writing an email for clarifications, this step helped in reducing the buff time in communication and team management.
