Firstly, you’ll want to start by identifying the most important part of your training. What skills does your audience absolutely need to be successful? Prioritization is key. Secondly, I’d suggest examining your existing training resources to see if there’s any material you can repurpose. One of my favorite ways to do this is by using an AI video tool that offers a document to video feature. This way, you can upload an existing document, such as a PDF detailing your onboarding procedures, and the tool will turn this PDF into a video draft in minutes. This is a huge time saver for those who need to create visual training content quickly and already have a few written resources they can leverage.

Assess to make sure you are focusing on the "need to know" instead of the "nice to know." When we try and do too much is often when the workload is overwhelming and challenging. Focus on what will have the most impact and start there. Keep track of how long you are spending on each task to make sure you are not spending too much time on an area that is not supporting the key objectives.

When pressed for time in planning training programs, focus on core objectives and prioritize high-impact content. Use proven templates and streamline processes to save time without sacrificing quality. Leverage expert input and ready-made e-learning tools. Incorporate feedback loops for continuous improvement, ensuring the program remains effective and aligned with organizational goals.

Essentially, you make the most of your limited time by concentrating on high-impact elements and efficient delivery methods. When planning a training program, you can maintain quality by: prioritizing essential content, focusing on the most important skills and information, leveraging existing resources, incorporating active learning methods, setting clear learning objectives, and using readily available tools to streamline development.
