When time is limited, plan smooth transitions between setups by pre-visualizing each shot and arranging equipment accordingly. Keep gear organized and accessible—use pre-set lighting and camera settings when possible for consistency. Communicate clearly with your team and models about each transition to minimize downtime and ensure everyone is ready. Swiftly assess each setup’s lighting and angles, adjusting as needed without overhauls. By streamlining your workflow, you can maximize efficiency without sacrificing quality. My story is from a real-life experience as a service user. I crafted a vision of what I wanted and shared it with the photographer upfront. I also knew what each image was to represent - writer, fitness enthusiast, mother, cook, glammed up etc. And location around the house to use. I left the outdoors location to the photographer. On D-Day, before the team showed up, I had arranged costumes, settings and other things were handy. It made transitioning between scenes very easy and we were able to wrap within the scheduled timing. The photographer was highly impressed with how ready I was and the minimal time in between scenes. It boils down to planning.
