Prior to the interview, consider preparing some questions that demonstrate your research and understanding of the company and its customer service goals. For instance, you could inquire about what customer service challenges and opportunities are currently present, how customer service managers are supported and developed, what expectations and goals there are for the role in the first 90 days, how customer satisfaction and profitability are balanced, or how a culture of customer service excellence is fostered.

5 Be confident and positive

Finally, remember to be confident and positive throughout the interview. Customer service management is a role that requires strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, so you want to convey that you have these qualities. Smile, make eye contact, and use a friendly and professional tone. Avoid negative or critical comments about your previous employers, colleagues, or customers. Focus on your strengths, achievements, and potential, and how you can add value to the company and its customers. Thank the interviewer for their time and follow up with a polite and personalized email.
